MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Temperatures are cool again this morning with clear skies at the coast and partly sunny inland.
The area of low pressure has pulled north and continues to generate rain in North Carolina and Virginia. Flow will stay out of the north/northwest today with winds sustained between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts higher, near 20 mph at times. We won’t see much rain with this; just isolated rain along the border belt. Skies will be nice and sunny throughout the day at the coast, but the borderbelt will be cooler in the mid-70s and cloudier. Temperatures will be in the upper-70s to near 80 in the Pee Dee and at the coast.
High pressure begins to settle in, leading to a monster warm-up in the days to come. We are not worried about record heat, but it will be warm by the end of the week. Mostly sunny and near 80 on Wednesday, with temperatures jumping to the upper-80s inland Thursday-Saturday…
