Shooting leads Myrtle Beach police to search S. Ocean Boulevard motel, arrest 2

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach police arrested two people early Thursday at a S. Ocean Boulevard motel after a shooting that injured one person.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Ocean Boulevard at about 3:40 a.m. after getting a ShotSpotter alert, police said in a Facebook post. ShotSpotter is a sensor-based system that detects gunshots in real time and alerts law enforcement.

Officers found the victim when they arrived, but determined that the shooting took place at a different location, the post said. The person was taken to the hospital, but no information about their injuries was immediately available…
