GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The body of a 28-year-old man reported missing Sunday while swimming was recovered on Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Nicholas Thomas Hold of Murrells Inlet was last seen about 8:40 p.m. in the river area near Sandy Island. Crews found his body a short time after noon on Monday.
Hold’s mother, Darlene Mitchell, said she and her son were out enjoying the last days of summer Sunday afternoon on a friend’s boat. She described Hold as a loving young man with a bright smile and bright future, saying he was taken too soon…
