Horry County Animal Care Center calling for fosters ahead of storm

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — With tropical activity potentially heading towards South Carolina, the Horry County Animal Care Center is calling on the public to help clear the shelter to make room for lost pets.

During hurricanes and storms, the ACC becomes the home for missing and lost pets they pick up during or after a storm. In order to do this, they need the dogs currently in their shelter to find temporary homes.

“Storm fosters are folks that will come in, take home one or two of the pets that we have, particularly dogs, and keep them during the storm,” Adrianna Seals Nixon said…
