Hospital deemed safe after active shooter threat in South Carolina

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WBTV) – A hospital in South Carolina was deemed “safe” after it received active shooter threats Tuesday.

The threat was called into McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River — which is about 30 minutes outside Myrtle Beach — during the morning of Oct. 7.

Horry County police said they conducted all necessary safety checks and found “no indication of a real and present threat.” The hospital was put on lockdown while officers did a sweep of the facility…
