MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Since 2010, the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon and Coastal 5K has drawn hundreds to the Grand Strand, bringing in both experienced and first-time runners. Although the runners had to compete with the rain, they refused to slow down.
By 7 a.m. Saturday, downtown Myrtle Beach was filled with those ready to run. While some were running the race for fun, like Myrtle Beach Resident Tucker Lake, others used this as a training opportunity, like Myrtle Beach resident April Branam.
“This is my third time running this race,” Lake said. “We run almost every weekend in a race somewhere around here.”…
