MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – It has been a very rainy weekend across the Grand Strand, Pee Dee and border belt. We have seen flash flooding from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, and Dillon Counties. Some areas in Georgetown County picked up 7-9″ of rain. Across Coastal Horry County 4-6″ of rain fell, leading to flash flooding across downtown Myrtle Beach. Once you get into Florence and the Pee Dee, we have picked up 1-4″ of rain.
Overnight tonight, showers will still be around the area, but not as heavy. We will eventually see rain come to an end by Monday morning. Breezy conditions will continue overnight into Monday. Sustained winds will be between 15-25 mph, with gusts near 30 mph. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
As we head into Monday, our Coastal low will slowly depart the area. We will start with a few morning showers, and mainly cloudy skies. Skies should start to clear by late morning into the afternoon. Breezy conditions will continue as well. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. Overnight lows falling into the 50s by Tuesday morning…
