COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A man has been charged after allegedly pulling a gun on a deputy responding to a domestic dispute at a home in Tabor City.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) reports that on Oct. 18, deputies responded to a home on Pine Circle Road after receiving reports of an armed domestic disturbance. The caller told dispatch that the suspect had made threats toward law enforcement and was armed inside the home.
According to arrest warrants, 64-year-old Marty Strickland hit a woman inside the home and fired a gun to intimidate her. When she tried to call 911, he allegedly threatened to harm her if she did and tried to take the phone from her…
