CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — At the Horry County Historical Society in downtown Conway, the Kingston Joinery showcased its replica Lincoln chair to the public this past weekend. Joinery is a woodworking method that pieces wooden parts together using no nails or screws. It is one of the woodworking trades that specialized in making furniture and constructing buildings before the Industrial Revolution.
The Lincoln chair, originally built in 1800s, now has possibly the first ever replica of it in downtown Conway.
