Another cold morning, Melissa expected to be a hurricane this weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Skies are clear to start your Thursday, but temperatures are a lot colder. Temperatures are in the upper-30s in a few inland spots and the low-50s along the coast. Compared to yesterday, these temperatures are 12-20 degrees lower.

High temperatures today will be lower as well, but still very comfortable in the low and mid-70s. There is an elevated fire risk today. The relative humidity will be extremely low along with a small breeze, so be vigilant in regards to burning. It will be chilly again tonight with the low-50s at the beaches and low and mid-40s inland.

Friday through the weekend will be sunny with high temperatures in the low-70s; another gorgeous weekend with only a few clouds and high pressure from the Ohio Valley controlling. On Monday, we could see a weak coastal low-pressure system develop, which will bring a couple of light showers on Monday and into early Tuesday. Temperatures will be a lot cooler next week, with highs in the upper-60s most of the time…
