It’s been a year since it was announced that Guy Fieri will build a new restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area.
To some, it seems like progress is slow-going. But officials with Downtown Flavortown, a 50,000-square-foot restaurant that will feature food, a tiki bar, bowling alley and arcade games, say the large-scale project at the Myrtle Beach Mall is still on schedule to open in 2026.
On Friday morning, cranes were putting into place an air conditioning unit and workers were working both inside and out of the building located near Briarcliffe Acres along North Kings Highway.
Andrew Bledsoe with FACE Amusement Group said that he can’t say for sure when the restaurant will open, but “we are eager to get it open as soon as we can.”…
