Mayor Krouse Welcomes New Town Council and Announces Upcoming Surfside Beach Community Events

Mayor Robert Krouse of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, issued his weekly update and welcomed the 32nd session of the Town Council since the town was founded in 1964. The new council session, which occurs every two years, includes both new and returning members. Mayor Krouse stated he looks forward to working with the council to address community needs.

Several events are scheduled for the upcoming week. The regular Town Council meeting will take place on Monday. The agenda includes administering oaths of office to new council members and selecting a mayor pro tempore. Mayor Krouse will read a proclamation for South Carolina Arbor Day. Chief Mickle will introduce a new police officer. On Friday at 2 PM, Mayor Krouse will administer oaths of office to Chief Mickle, who was selected as chief at the October 28 meeting, and to two other officers.

Town Hall will be closed on Tuesday for Veterans Day. The town will hold its annual Veterans Day Commemoration at Memorial Park to honor U.S. Armed Forces veterans.
