North Myrtle Beach officer rescues 4-year-old from drowning

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WJBF) – The North Myrtle Beach Police Department Police Department praised one of its officers in a Facebook post Wednesday.

In its “Way to go Wednesday” post, the agency said:

On the afternoon of September 27, 2025, Sergeant Christopher Bellamy was conducting a routine patrol in the Cherry Grove Beach neighborhood of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., when, by chance, he looked over to the waterway behind a residence on 33rd Ave. North and noticed what appeared to be a golf cart overturned in the waterway.
