SBB overserved intoxicated man involved in crash after leaving bar, lawsuit claims

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Laurens County family whose vehicle was hit head-on by an alleged drunken driver in June is suing the Horry County bar SBB and its owners, claiming he was allowed to get behind the wheel of a pickup truck after being served too much alcohol.

The Crowder family’s lawsuit, filed on Nov. 7 in Horry County Common Pleas Court, names Kelvin Patrick Alvey, the driver of the pickup truck; Rebecca Polatas, the truck’s owner; Four Snakes Capital LLC, doing business as SBB; Highway 17 Investments, doing business as SBB; and Murrells Inlet Management Group LLC.
