HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An Horry County family is searching for answers after their beloved horse, Slick, died from a gunshot wound at their Gilbert Road farm on Sunday.
“‘We need to go check on Slick,’ he said, ‘He’s lying down and I’m not sure why,’” Stacy Smith says, recounting the moment on Sunday afternoon she and her husband realized Slick had died. “I got down there and he was gone, and he had been gone for a few hours.”
