CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — As an Horry County judge weighs how Scott Spivey’s wrongful death suit should proceed, attorneys for the man who killed him following a 2023 road rage incident argue the entire complaint should be dismissed under South Carolina’s stand your ground law.
Spivey, 33, died in an exchange of gunfire along Camp Swamp Road in the Loris area around 6 p.m. on Sept. 9.
