Atlantic Beach properties recognized on National Registry of Historic Places

ATLANTIC BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – The town of Atlantic Beach has a long and rich history, dating back to its establishment in the early 1930s.

Now, many of the buildings will see that history preserved as they receive recognition on the National Register of Historic Places.

In January, the town itself was placed on the National Register and designated as the Atlantic Beach Historic District. Highlighted alongside the town were 72 residential and commercial properties that have maintained their structure for over 50 years…
