MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Starting next week, all new officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department will be trained on technology to help find vulnerable missing people.
SOS Care said in a news release that the department is expanding Project Lifesaver training for all new officers.
Project Lifesaver provides radio frequency transmitters worn as bracelets by people who wander because of conditions such as autism, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Trained officers use the specialized receivers to locate them, helping reduce search time and improve outcomes, SOS Care said…
