HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Salvation Army changed its approach to helping families this Thanksgiving, distributing food baskets instead of hosting its traditional sit-down dinner.
Maj. Darrell Kingsbury with the Salvation Army said the organization decided to give out baskets with essential Thanksgiving foods, including turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes, to families in need.
