SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was taken to the hospital Sunday night after fire damaged a multifamily home on in Surfside Beach, officials said.
It happened at about 9:30 p.m. on 8th Avenue S. and caused “significant damage” to two of the building’s four units, according to the Surfside Beach Fire Department. Two people were left displaced by the fire.
No information about the injured person’s condition was immediately available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
