Conway greenlights downtown redevelopment, promises no tax hike for residents

CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Conway City Council took a significant step toward transforming downtown with the approval of a tax increment financing (TIF) district.

The plan aims to repurpose 800 acres from the old Grainger Generation Station into a new business and residential district, connecting to the Conway Riverwalk and marina.
