Horry County hospitals see surge in flu cases ahead of expected peak

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Doctors at Conway Medical Center and Grand Strand Medical Center anticipate flu cases, which they say are already on the rise, will reach their peak in the next four to six weeks.

The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) announced on December 3rd that the state has seen its first flu-related death of the season.
