MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A gloomy and cold day across the region today. Rain has been pretty widespread throughout the area. The heaviest rain has been located near our coastal areas. As we go into the overnight hours, light rain, drizzle, and fog will be the primary weather threat. We will see another chilly night across the area. Lows will be in the low 40s from the coast to the Pee Dee.
As we head into Saturday, a cold front stalled around 50 some miles off the coast, will be the driver for another low pressure system to move along it. This will spread rain back towards the coast, into the Pee Dee. Once you get west of Interstate 95, rain will be a little less concentrated. It will be another cold day. Highs will struggle to climb out of the 40s. Saturday night will feature another night of low clouds, mist, drizzle and fog. Lows will be near 40 along the coast. Inland temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 30s. As we go into the afternoon hours on Sunday, we should see some thinning of the clouds. This will allow temperatures to warm into the mid 50s. Clouds begin to build back in Sunday afternoon into the evening.
Another low pressure system will pass through the area on Monday. Again bringing cooler temperatures and the chance of rain. Rain should stay on the lighter side, with temperatures in the upper 40s, close to 50…
