Cloudy and cool Sunday

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Dense fog in some locations this morning will slowly burn off as we get towards midday. Cloudy conditions with possibly a few isolated sprinkles near the coast this afternoon.

A stalled front continues to hang just off the coastline. This is allowing for wave after wave of low pressure systems to form and move along the stalled boundary. Patchy fog could be slow to burn off on Sunday morning as we have lower sun angles and abundance of lower level moisture. Under mainly cloudy skies highs on Sunday will only mange to warm into the upper 40s to low 50s across the region. Clouds will continue to thicken up Sunday evening, with some isolated showers possible by the late evening hours.

Another boundary will move through the Carolinas Monday. This will bring back the chance of more rain across the region. The rain looks to remain on the lighter side, but some pockets of moderate rain will be possible. Some light snow and or a snow rain mix will be possible across the foothills, mountains and piedmont of Western and Central North Carolina…
