HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 45-year-old Little River man was sentenced to 10 years in prison last week after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges in Horry County Circuit Court.
Timothy Wyantec Dyson pleaded guilty on Wednesday to first-offense trafficking crack cocaine, 10 to 28 grams, and possession of a weapon by a person convicted of certain offenses, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. Judge David P. Caraker Jr. sentenced Dyson to 10 years in prison for the crack cocaine charge and five years in prison on the firearm charge. Those sentences will run concurrently.
Horry County police arrested Dyson in July 2024 in the Longs area after a brief vehicle and foot pursuit, the solicitor’s office said. Officers seized more than 30 grams of crack cocaine along with a handgun in his vehicle…
