MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Mostly cloudy skies and a few light sprinkles are possible this evening. Tonight, temperatures will dip into the upper 30s and lower 40s. We will gradually warm into the mid- and upper 40s by the afternoon. We’re mainly dry overnight into Monday, before we see another chance for rain while heading out for your morning commute. By lunchtime, the chance for rain ends, but the clouds will stick around into the evening. Some light snow and or a snow rain mix will be possible across the foothills, mountains and piedmont of Western and Central North Carolina.
High pressure moves into the area Tuesday, bringing a long awaited period of sunshine into the area Tuesday through Thursday. Tuesday will be very cold, and breezy. Highs will struggle to make it out of the 40s across the area. Overnight lows will be well below freezing Tuesday morning and close to freezing Wednesday morning. We will see the high pressure slide off the coast by Wednesday, bring somewhat warmer and normal temperatures to area by Wednesday and Thursday, as highs warm into the low 60s.
