Myrtle Beach discusses year-round lighting to boost Ocean Blvd’s family-friendly appeal

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — City leaders are discussing ways to make Ocean Boulevard more appealing, and one of the plans brought up in Tuesday’s city council meeting is to bring year-round lighting.

Lights would be installed between Ninth Avenue and Mr. Joe White. That’s the same area that saw several violent crimes over the summer, including a deadly mass shooting.
