New Head Start Center to provide free early childhood education to Grand Strand

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — A new resource center for families is officially open, bringing free, high-quality early childhood education to the area.

The Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council held a ribbon cutting on the Head Start Center, located inside the Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand on Dunbar Street.

“Yeah, when they came to me, I said, absolutely, please come. Again, it’s a wonderful addition to our community and our building. We want our kids to thrive here in north beach and in this community.
