HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man pleaded guilty on Wednesday in the hit-and-run death of an Horry County teenager last December, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Daniel Leaser was sentenced to seven years in prison by Horry County Circuit Court Judge Michael Nettles, who suspended the sentence to three years followed by a year of probation.
Leaser was driving a 2013 Ford Expedition that hit and killed 15-year-old Austin Barnard in the 3000 block of Highway 17 Business near Stanley Drive in the Murrells Inlet area. It happened at about 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 31, and Leaser was arrested the next day…
