CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Grand Strand Health has broken ground on a new emergency room in Conway, the Rivertown ER, which will offer full-service emergency care in a 10,000-plus square foot facility.
The ER will feature a triage room, exam rooms, advanced imaging such as X-ray and CT scanning, and an on-site laboratory.
Mark Sims, CEO of Grand Strand Health, emphasized the necessity of the new facility, stating, “I think when you look at what’s going on here in Conway with the population base and the growth, the need right now is for emergency room care. So for us, we’ll be able to provide that, and should you need to be admitted to a hospital, we have our own transport service.”…
