An Horry County middle school student suffered severe injuries to their head and neck after they were ‘bullied and attacked’ at school, a lawsuit filed Dec. 9 claims.
The child, a student at Ten Oaks Middle School, was the victim of ‘unprovoked contact’ from the bully on March 22, 2024, resulting in more than $77,000 in medical bills, according to the lawsuit. The legal action claims that the school failed to intervene and protect the student from being injured on the premises.
The lawsuit, which names the Horry County School District as the defendant, claims the school did not provide adequate supervision of the children, and failed to “appreciate the gravity of the known dangers associated with bullying.”…
