Lawsuit filed against Raymond Moody by mother of Brittanee Drexel dismissed

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One of the lawsuits filed by the mother of Brittanee Drexel against her daughter’s killer has been dropped, Georgetown County court documents show.

Dawn Conley filed a lawsuit Aug. 13 seeking control of parcels at 5502 and 5498 Rose Hill Road — properties owned by Moody but were later deeded to his longtime girlfriend Angel Vause after he pleaded guilty — which have a combined assessed value of $5,030. A notice of dismissal on that lawsuit was filed Monday.

The lawsuit was filed four months after attorneys for Conley asked a judge in Georgetown County to seize the assets of Moody, the man convicted of abducting and killing her 17-year-old daughter in 2009 while she was on spring break on the Grand Strand.
