1 hurt in Horry County stabbing, police say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was treated after being stabbed at least twice Tuesday night in the Burgess area, according to an Horry County police report.

Officers responded at about 11:35 p.m. to the St. Peters Church Road area to investigate a stabbing in progress, the report said. They found the male victim lying on his back in the roadway with a “severe laceration” on his left shoulder below his neck.

Both the woman and victim were trying to put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding, the report said. Officers then took over and provided “life saving measures” while the woman was escorted away from the area. Medics later found a smaller cut on the man’s back near his left shoulder blade…
