A North Carolina man became “gravely ill” after contracting a bacterial infection at a North Myrtle Beach resort, according to a recent lawsuit filing.
Ronald Cope, of Wake County, during June 2023 visited Best Western Ocean Sands Beach Resort, at 1525 S. Ocean Blvd., where he was exposed to Legionnaires disease, a severe form of pneumonia, according to his complaint.
