Myrtle Beach carjacking suspect arrested after fleeing from Virginia police

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man is facing several felony charges after a multi-state crime spree that ended with his Sunday arrest in Virginia.

Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, Myrtle Beach police were dispatched to the 800 block of 4th Ave N. after a vehicle was reported stolen following an armed carjacking. Around 11 a.m., the James City County Police Department in Virginia received a Flock camera alert for a stolen vehicle.

A short time later, officers located the vehicle traveling eastbound and attempted a traffic stop where the driver fled before being taken into custody…
