HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was evaluated for injuries after a vehicle submerged into a Surfside Beach-area pond, Horry County Fire Rescue said Thursday.
Crews responded at 2:18 p.m. to the area of Barkwood Drive, HCFR said. One person was removed from the vehicle and evaluated for possible injuries, but no one was taken to the hospital.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating, with assistance from Horry County police.
