Community honors NMBPD Sgt. killed in crash 5 years ago

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The North Myrtle Beach Police Department and community gathered to honor Sergeant Gordon Best.

Sgt. Best died five years ago in a New Year’s Day crash while responding to a shots fired call.

“Be kind to one another. Treat everybody with common decency and respect. Treat everyone how you always want to be treated. That golden rule. That’s the best way to honor him, because that’s how he lived his life. And that’s how we should model our lives.
