It is going to be a normal start to 2026 with high temperatures in the mid- and upper-50s with sunshine continuing. High pressure will be established over the Carolinas today, but a low-pressure system moving through the Gulf Coast states will bring rain to the area late Friday into Saturday.
Highs will be in the low-60s on Friday with partly sunny skies and dry weather for the first part of the day. A few isolated showers are likely to pop up on Friday evening, and Saturday is the rainier day. The weekend will start with temperatures in the mid-50s.
