SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — It has been one year since a fire damaged Dagwood’s Deli and Sports Bar in Surfside Beach, forcing the restaurant to close and leaving 85 employees out of work until it reopened in May.
During the months of closure, the community rallied around the business, and since reopening, that support has not faded.
“We were devastated when it happened a year ago. We supported them for five months. We love this place. We have a great group that comes here. And it’s just, it’s family,” said Dave Bear, a regular at Dagwood’s…
