A longtime Myrtle Beach ice cream store is relocating, moving its business to Surfside Beach.
Daddio’s Ice Cream will open its new store Friday in the former Shelle‘s Bistro at 818 Surfside Drive.
Owner Jo Baroody closed her 7th Avenue North store in Myrtle Beach to move to the new location. She had been located there since 2023 after moving from her longtime spot on 3rd Avenue South when the landlord sold the waterfront property.
However, Baroody said while the 7th Avenue North location was “OK,” it wasn’t great. She’s hoping the Surfside Beach spot will be the new start that she needs…
