Outdoor burn ban set for Horry and Georgetown counties

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Here is the First Alert for an outdoor burn ban scheduled to start Sunday in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Horry County’s burn ban starts Sunday at 6 a.m. and lasts until further notice.

“The ban will be initiated due to the extreme fire danger as a result of the low relative humidity, dry and windy conditions,” Horry County said. “All outdoor burning, including permitted burns, is strictly prohibited during the ban, and those involved in any open burning would be in violation of the law.”…
