Cows roaming Horry County highway. Drivers to see officers patrolling roadway

Several cows are roaming a highway in Horry County and drivers are being cautioned to be on alert.

The cows got loose Saturday night and several of them were struck and killed, according to a text Sunday morning from Horry County public information officer Thomas Bell.

Officers are along Highway 22, between U.S. 501 and S.C. 319, and signage has been placed along the roadway warning drivers to slow down because of the cows, Bell said…
