An outdoor burn ban in Horry County went into effect Sunday morning.
The ban was issued because of current weather conditions and will remain in place until further notice, according to a Facebook post from the Horry County government. The area is in “extreme fire damage” as a result of the low humidity and dry and windy conditions, the post said.
All outdoor burning, including permitted burns, is strictly prohibited during the ban, and those involved in any open burning would be in violation of the law…
