WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Two men face drug trafficking charges after a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) investigation culminated in a vehicle pursuit and the recovery of more than 100 grams of cocaine.
The BCSO Vice & Narcotics Unit completed a two-month investigation that ended when deputies tried to stop a vehicle on Mt. Pisgah Road. The driver, Anthony Napolitano, 29, of Carolina Shores, fled with passenger Delton Bessent, 27, of Conway, South Carolina, according to BCSO.
Napolitano drove at high speed before stopping on Cumbee Road. Investigators said drugs were thrown from the vehicle during the chase in the 900 block of Mt. Pisgah Road. Deputies recovered the narcotics from the roadside…
