Horry County police release more information on high-speed chase that crossed state lines

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County police have released more information on the high-speed chase that crossed state lines on Jan. 8.

Dayquan Devon Johnson, 30, of Loris, was charged with manufacturing/possession of drugs and failure to stop for blue lights after the chase that at times reached 90 miles per hour, according to police.

According to an incident report, police attempted to pull Johnson over around 2 a.m. after he rolled through a stop sign on Cedar Branch Road. Johnson then lead officers on a chase through the Loris area, eventually crossing state lines into Brunswick County…
