MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) -A streak of 5,457 consecutive days without more than an inch of snow came to an end on January 21, 2025, when a storm system brought the most snow of this 21st century to the Grand Strand.
The jet stream dipped down, bringing the coldest temperatures of the year. Morning lows dropped to the upper teens to low 20s. A disturbance just off the coast provided enough moisture to create significant snowfall.
