Myrtle Beach man kept aquarium open after business license revoked, state authorities say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — State authorities have charged the owner of an Horry County aquarium with operating without a license after the business was ordered to close because of unpaid taxes.

Brian David Dushanko, 38, of Myrtle Beach, continued to operate Jamrock Corals on Highway 90 in Longs after the business’s retail license was revoked in July, according to the South Carolina Department of Revenue.

An arrest warrant says Dushanko was operating the business as recently as Jan. 9. He was arrested on Friday and booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing…
