City council approves half-a-million-dollar downtown lighting project in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach City Council approved a $500,000 lighting project on Tuesday.

The city council approved the project that will be along Ocean Boulevard between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 9th Avenue North during a meeting.

The city hopes the lights will not only attract visitors but also increase public safety in the area.
