Two men charged with murder in connection with Loris man found in burned car

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two arrests have been announced in connection with an Horry County homicide from Last October.

Horry County Police Department said that on Wednesday, Evin Elijah Worrell, 23, and Jerrick Larog Thomas, 20, were charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Police say the charges are connected to when Stoney Floyd Jr., 20, of Loris, was found dead in October in the backseat of a car that had been set on fire in the area of West Bear Grass Road and Bullock Trail in Longs.
