Crews rescue person hanging out of third-floor motel window during Myrtle Beach fire

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people were rescued from a Myrtle Beach motel Monday afternoon, including one who was hanging out of a third-floor window, authorities said.

Myrtle Beach and Horry County firefighters responded at about 5 p.m. to the Super 8 along Highway 17 Bypass. Crews also found a person on the fifth floor during search operations. Both patients were assisted by medical personnel,

Video posted online by the Myrtle Beach Fire Department showed smoke coming out of the window as crews responded. The fire remains under investigation.
